LittleBigHelp

LittleBigHelp is a Danish NGO that has been helping vulnerable children and families in West Bengal for the past 15 years. In Denmark, the NGO has only three employees, while approximately 90 local employees help in India.

LittleBigHelp’s target group also extends beyond Denmark’s borders. They organize annual fundraising events in London, among other places, and this demands much of their forms. Everything must be able to work across borders – currency, language and data validation.

There are many different ways to solve this. We have chosen LittleBigHelp as form of the month because it is actually quite simple.

Here, the OnlineFundraising standard functionality is used, and that is smart, naturally.

Choose your own currency

Need more kinds of currency? No problem! The solution is very simple here: You are simply guided further if you want to pay with euros, dollars or pounds. Very simple solution, which makes it easy to change validation for example.

When you change currency, the form changes too, and here the fields change as well. If you choose Euro, for example, you have to choose a country, but you can then only pay by card.

The disadvantage of multiple forms is naturally that you risk losing a donor when they have to go through an extra step. But on the other hand, you often want to split the page in different contexts, and then it makes sense to have different forms.

If you want to copy this particular model, confirm with us that your existing gateway/acquisition agreement can handle the desired type of currency.

However, the method of linking to other forms can also be used for other purposes – e.g. different types of memberships.

Donor controls the communication

The form also makes communication easy between the organization and the donor. You can send LittleBigHelp a message of your choice – and we promise you will get a great response!
Then you can choose between no emails, Danish or English. For this organization, this method makes good sense because they already have a pretty good connection to their donors – and perhaps dialogue with them on other channels.
