Assisted onboarding

Assisted onboarding is an umbrella term for all situations in which a donor receives some form of support when setting up a new agreement. This could be over the phone, where the donor completes the process by confirming with a swipe in the MobilePay app. It could be at the doorstep, where the new member receives an SMS with a link to a form in which they can enter their national ID number and bank details. Or it could be on the street, where the donor enters their own details while the staff member’s data is captured in the background.

Each form of assisted onboarding has its own advantages and disadvantages. That’s why it often makes sense to use different elements for different purposes — just like any well-equipped toolbox.

Door2Door

A relatively new approach to assisted onboarding is door-to-door fundraising, where the campaign representative knocks on the donor’s door and has the conversation there. This method has shown strong results, with high levels of satisfaction and retention among both donors and campaign staff.

In this area, OnlineFundraising works closely with FundraisingPartner, continuously optimising the donor journey together.
